Reconstructing a playground for ill children

In 2019 we supported the reconstruction of the playground in front of the Olomouc Children's Clinic of the University Hospital.

This playground is an oasis of carefree space for young patients and family members. It however needed some repairs to ensure that it continued to bring joy to the children who were undergoing treatment at the facility.

The team set to work on an exceptionally hot day and removed the old, unsightly paint and painted areas that required it. Weeds and unwanted shrubbery were also removed from the playground and new sand was brought in for the safety of children. The complete clean up resulted in a fresh new and inviting look.

This act of kindness has ensured that the children, their friends and family can once again enjoy a happy and safe environment while being treated at the Clinic.

Gratitude was enthusiastically expressed by the emeritus professor of the Paediatric Clinic, and the team from Aspen will be honored to participate in a similar project again next year.
