As in the past, the Aspen Global team in Mauritius thoroughly embraced Mandela Day by providing support to the SOS Children's Village Bamboo.

The team, together with their guests which included delegates from the South African Embassy the Hon Mrs Mireille Martin, Minister of Gender Equality, Child Development and Family Welfare and Dr Mrs Priya Ramluggun-Essoo, Board Director of SOS Children’s Village Mauritius, were warmly wecomed by the children and staff at the Village.

Aspen Global's contributions included the sponsorship of a family house and they also hosted a range of activities including the inauguration of a new play area for the junior kids, clown entertainment, a time of coloring-in pictures of Madiba and some fun face painting.

One of the day's highlights included the Art Competition Prize Giving Ceremony as well as the Rs 200,000 donation which was made to SOS by Samer Kassen, Aspen Global CEO.

The School provided extensive background pedagogical work to educate and prepare the kids on Nelson Mandela and his values prior to the event. The results that followed in terms of talents that come to light from the art competition proved to be very rewarding.
