Caring for the young and old

Aspen Pharmacare’s East London employees chose two beneficiaries for their 2019 Mandela Day initiatives namely the Sinobulumko Day Care and Uvuko Elderly Home.

Sinobulumko has previously been supported and the Aspen team spent their 67 minutes cleaning, painting, revamping and decorating the Day Care centre.

As part of making a difference for the Uvuko Eldery Home, the team went to Scenery Park Community Hall where Uvuko members had congregated. The beadwork and aprons sewn by the elderly from this community were proudly displayed.

After handing over a donation of fabric and beads, an inspirational talk was presented to the guests who sang to the team in appreciation for the gifts that they received.
