Aspen Asia’s 13 employees together with their family members as well as a pet visited Lok Fu Care Home again in June 2015. This was their second visit to the centre and the beneficiaries were delighted to welcome them back.

The home, which is managed by the Helping Hand Organisation, provides a home to 75 elderly folk who all participated in the Mandela Day activities. Many of the residents do not have relatives in Hong Kong and lack family support. Some also have physical disabilities that make it difficult for them to keep contact with the outside world.

The event was very close to the traditional Dragon Boat festival and it was a good time to meet with the elderly and extend wishes of good health and happiness to them. The Aspen team engaged in a number of activities including some games and a performance by a few of the employee’s loveable children. The highlight of the day was the traditional Chinese dim sum that was served by the team. The very grateful residents enjoyed the company, entertainment, meal and also the gift bags that were filled with treats and healthy snacks.
