Donations of medicines for children and drought-stricken communities

As part of its Mandela Day activities, Beta Healthcare in Kenya supported two beneficiaries.

Medicines were donated to the Satya Sai Medical Centre that provides free medical care to orphaned, abandoned and ill children from the surrounding poverty- stricken area of Waruku in Kagemi. Food, clothing and education is also provided to approximately 400 children at this Centre.

The Kenya Red Cross team also received donations of medical supplies ahead of their journey to the Turkana area, where they were destined to provide relief to communities affected by the prolonged drought. These desperately needed medicines were required to be administered at the medical camps and stock was also donated to the County Government Hospital in Turkana.
