Showcasing the power of volunteerism for the homeless
Aspen Ireland’s allegiance to Sophia Housing in Dublin enjoyed a fourth year of partnership in 2025. Our volunteers energetically stepped up and showcased their unwavering commitment to making a positive impact for the homeless in their community.
Employees gave their time and energy to clearing and cleaning the wheelchair accessible entrance at Sophia Housing. The team’s hard work underscores their dedication to making a difference as they removed plant litter, eliminated overgrown moss, unclogged drains, and power washed the area. This team exceeded expectations and successfully revived the wheelchair accessible entrance for renewed use.
This initiative not only provides tangible benefits for the community but also serves as an example of the power of volunteerism and teamwork. By joining forces and working towards a shared objective, employees have forged stronger bonds while actively contributing to a worthy cause.

The Sophia model of support acknowledges the trauma that homelessness causes and concentrates on responding holistically to over 1 000 people across Ireland each day. Their approach is designed to fully support their recovery and enable these citizens to realise their potential and fulfill their ambition. Over the past 5 years the numbers of families, couples, and individuals supported by Sophia has increased by 100%.
