Caring for the community’s elderly

The Aspen Asia team extended their caring spirit to The Hong Kong Society for the Aged - Sage Eastern District Elderly Community Centre for Mandela Day.

This centre provides a full range of support services to the community’s elderly as well as family members who care for them.

Aspen’s employees visited 14 needy pensioners who live on their own and gifted them with treats and practical supplies. They also enjoyed their company while playing card games and encouraging them to share their life stories.  Alleviating the loneliness experienced by many seniors is an important step in improving their health and quality of life.

The team were humbled to patiently and attentively engage with these elderly citizens who rewarded them with smiles and words of appreciation for caring enough to spend some time with them.
