Driving hope for Hogar de Niños’ children
Aspen Argentina proudly commemorated Mandela Day for the second consecutive year. Despite the limitations of the COVID-19 pandemic, we first participated in this initiative in 2021. We recognised the value of the campaign and the difference we can make so we didn’t hesitate to engage again in 2022.
This year our activities were driven by our hope to help change the lives of children from Hogar de Niños, Divino Niño Jesús. Hogar de Niños is a non-profit organization and has been operational for more than 20 years. This organisation believes that education and emotional support is the key to changing the world and overcoming poverty.
The facility supports students aged six to 15 years old who are subjected to social vulnerable conditions in Buenos Aires. They provide students with necessary tools including guided homework sessions, to help them manage their challenges in order to improve their lives.
We are acutely aware of the significant economic crisis that our country has faced due to the pandemic. In response, we donated scholar kits to Hogar de Niños and spent time with the students encouraging them to complete their education and to reach for their dreams, regardless of their circumstances.
