Aspen Chile has participated in our Mandela Day campaign for nine consecutive years.

In 2022 we committed to making a difference by supporting young oncology patients and their families at Roberto del Rio Hospital.

Roberto del Río is one of the oldest paediatric hospitals in Santiago, Chile where children have been treated since 1900. This institution has expanded its areas of expertise and specialities significantly and more than 300 000 children are admitted annually for emergencies and various medical consultations and procedures.

Oncology patients and their families experience extreme emotional and physical challenges. We are acutely aware of the impact that treatment has on dental health, so we provided kits containing toothbrushes and toothpastes to the oncology patients. We also donated TV sets for each room in the inpatient ward and spent the day with the children trying to bring some joy and hope to them.
