Guatemala
Aspen Caricam unites across borders
This powerful moment also marks Aspen’s 15th year supporting the global Mandela Day initiative, reinforcing our commitment to making a meaningful difference.
This year’s theme centered on volunteerism and community impact, with diverse activities focused on local needs. From environmental efforts to heartfelt visits, our teams brought hope and joy to vulnerable populations.

Asilo Cabecitas de Algodón Nursing Home for seniors citizens was established in La Antigua in 2002. This non-profit organisation believes in displaying care, respect and affection to its elderly resident who deserve to feel valued each day. Aspen Caricam’s volunteers in Guatemala engaged with the Home’s 14 elderly residents and shared hope, joy and wonderful moments to create beautiful memories. They also provided them with essential supplies and encouraged participation in various activities that they hosted. The seniors were delighted to share in their company and they enjoyed the special treats provided in celebration of Mandela Day.

Aspen Caricam’s initiatives in Guatemala reflect the spirit of Nelson Mandela, reminding us that each act of kindness contributes to a more just and compassionate world.
We are deeply proud of every Aspen Caricam employee who gave their time, energy, and heart. Each of them is an agent of change, proudly inspired by Mandela’s legacy.
