The staff and patients at the pediatric department of the Masaryk Hospital in Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic, received fabulous improvements to their facilities in celebration of Mandela Day.

The team of 10 very enthusiastic volunteers from Aspen Czech Republic went to great lengths to improve conditions for the little patients by refurbishing the dining room and playroom in the pediatric ward. A new carpet was also laid, the walls were repainted, new curtains were added and wooden decorations introduced into the environment.
