Uniting in Münich for a good cause

As European summer holidays traditionally occur during Mandela Day month, 12 volunteers from Aspen Germany joined forces in September to participate in the Group’s 15th year of Mandela Day celebrations.

We stepped outside our usual routines, and experienced firsthand how small actions can make a big difference at Puerto Ambulante Erziehungshilfe e.V. in Munich.

This beneficiary supports refugee children, teenagers, young adults under 21 and their families, by helping them to integrate into society and lead independent, healthy lives.

Armed with brushes, paint, and plenty of team spirit, we transformed several rooms, giving the common area a fresh and welcoming look.

The hands-on work was complemented by meaningful conversations with staff, offering insight into their daily challenges and the impact of their positive work. The day was filled with collaboration, motivation, and a shared sense of purpose.

We’re proud of what we achieved together and look forward to continuing our commitment to social responsibility in future initiatives.
