Adoption facility erected for sick, abandoned animals

Vigyél Haza Alapítvány is the animal shelter that Aspen Hungary supported for Mandela Day. This shelter treats sick dogs and also places them in homes where they will be loved. As they are a volunteer organisation, they have little resources and were in need of a structure from where they could work practically, particularly in terms of facilitating adoption of the animals.

Ten Aspen employees decided to build a small structure at the shelter. Not having much construction experience, their morning started off slowly, but through resilience and perseverance by the end of the day the house was complete.

It was with great satisfaction that the team was able to stand back after a wonderfully warm summer’s day of hard work and marvel at what they had achieved together. More importantly though, was their pleasure at having made a difference for those who will benefit the most from the facility – the animals.
