Beta assists with renovations at Kenyatta National Hospital
Nairobi-based Beta Healthcare (“Beta”), an Aspen Group Company, has participated in Aspen’s Mandela Day programme for more than a decade.
This year was no different when Beta collaborated with His Excellency Mninwa Johannes Mahlangu from the South African High Commission in Kenya and Political Counsellor Ernest Kgopa to support the Kenyatta National Hospital (“KNH”).
KNH expressed a need for a range of improvements to be made at the hospital and Beta responded by donating essential supplies to renovate Ward 3B. As part of the renovation efforts, Beta partnered with Plascon Kansai, and a highlight of the Mandela Day celebrations included the symbolic painting of Ward 3B and a walk-through of the facilities by the attending delegation.

KNH CEO Dr E N Kamuri also expressed his gratitude for Beta’s support and highlighted the value of the donations towards healthcare support of patients.
Gurcharan Singh Matharu, Regional Head at Beta Healthcare, emphasised the company’s commitment to positive societal impact and said, “As we honour Nelson Mandela’s legacy of justice and service, we celebrate his life and his enduring call to action through 67 minutes of service, symbolising the 67 years he dedicated fighting for human rights and social justice.”
“Prioritising community welfare and healthcare enhancement is a demonstration of how public-private partnerships can address societal challenges and foster sustainable development,” added Mr Matharu.
