Helping to build a home for a less fortunate family
Tim Hadden

The Aspen API Sioux City team contributed our efforts toward Mandela Day by volunteering at a local building site for Habitat for Humanity.

On a very hot 18 July the team provided manual labour by shovelling gravel around the base of the foundation to allow for the drainage system of the house to keep the basement water free; built, installed, supported and set square the main central support beam to support the structure of the house; dug out and set the egress supports at the two windows at the end of the foundation of the house and ensured that the site was cleaned up after the work was donee.

Aspen’s Tim Haddon said, “The team agreed that it was really a very fulfilling feeling to perform volunteer work for the benefit of those less fortunate than ourselves.  Thank you to those employees who directly participated in the our Mandela Day activity and to the members of our team who indirectly participated by keeping our site operating during the activity.”
