Summer camp for children with disabilities
In honour of Mandela Day, Aspen Italia's employees spent a meaningful day with Michele Pertutti by volunteering at a special summer camp for children with psychomotor disabilities.

Michele Pertutti was established in 2013 to support children under the age of 17 who suffer from brain lesions, motor or psychomotor disorders. Psychomotor disabilities refer to impairments in the connection between mental processes and physical movement, resulting in difficulties with motor skills, coordination, and physical actions.
This non-profit organisation offers rehabilitation, educational and remedial activities, while also providing support to families of handicapped children.
Aspen sponsored the attendance of 30 children at the Michele Pertutti summer camp. The camp programme is adapted to different age groups and is customised to enable full participation of every participant. A range of activities were presented for the campers including a trip to the beach, excursions in nature, outdoor activities, and art and crafts projects.
Our team of 13 volunteers spent a day with the children in the swimming pool, played joyful outdoor games with them, encouraged learning, and promoted interaction, all while bringing them much happiness.
