Introducing young Stormini citizens to professions in the pharmaceutical sector
Almost 300 children participated in this fascinating democracy game in Oststeinbek over a period of seven days. During the day, the children spent their time in tents or classrooms fulfilling their jobs as residents of Stormini. The day begins with the children taking on the role of a Stormini citizen at the employment agency, choosing a profession, and trying out an exciting job for about an hour so that they can withdraw money from the savings bank at the end of the day.
This gives them the opportunity to learn about different professions and get an impression of the working world.
Some of the young Stormini citizens between the ages of 10 to 13 year had an opportunity to learn more about the professions of a pharmacist, pharmaceutical technician and chemical laboratory assistant in our on-site Aspen classroom.
Feedback received from a number of the children indicated that they found the professions very interesting and they had a lot of fun. Our three trainees Maxime Gooss, Johanna Bierschwall and Lucas Huss took care of the children on site, and helped them to make vitamin bombs, creams, and lip balm, which they sold in the evening at the Stormini marketplace.
