Costa Rica
Aspen Caricam unites across borders
This powerful moment also marks Aspen’s 15th year supporting the global Mandela Day initiative, reinforcing our commitment to making a meaningful difference.
This year’s theme centered on volunteerism and community impact, with diverse activities focused on local needs. From environmental efforts to heartfelt visits, our teams brought hope and joy to vulnerable populations.

In Costa Rica we joined reforestation efforts with Planta Mi Árbol. This environmental organization, which is based in San José and which was established in 2021, transforms carbon footprints into measurable climate action by focusing on reforestation of public areas. The activities conducted as part of our Mandela Day campaign will directly benefit approximately 1 000 local citizens.
Armed with a spirit of immense enthusiasm, sun hats and water bottles, our team of more than 45 volunteers fulfilled vital reforestation activities including soil preparation, planting and maintaining trees, clearing overgrown areas and removing invasive plants.

Aspen Caricam’s activities reflect the spirit of Nelson Mandela, reminding us that each act of kindness contributes to a more just and compassionate world.
We are deeply proud of every Aspen Caricam employee who gave their time, energy, and heart. Each of them is an agent of change, proudly inspired by Mandela’s legacy.
