Showing care and kindness to the elderly
At Aspen Caricam, we believe that purpose is measured by the impact we create in the communities we serve. This Mandela Day, all employees came together across seven countries to transform compassion into action, demonstrating that even the smallest acts of service can leave a lasting impact.
Aspen's team of volunteers in Guatemala spent quality time with 14 seniors who are residents at Asilo Cabecitas de Algodón, Calzada Santa Lucía Sur in La Antigua.
Established in 2002, this nursing home provides dignity and care and is a place of safety for the elderly who have been abandoned, lack family support, or have limited resources.
In celebration of Mandela Day, the Aspen team showed care and kindness to the aged folk but, most importantly, reminded them that they are valued and appreciated members of society.
