Together everything is more fun
Stichting Vier het Leven (Foundation Celebrate Life) supports cancer patients and their loved ones, not by funding research, but by bringing a smile and a little bit of happiness in difficult times.
“Together everything is more fun” is the Foundation’s slogan and the team from Aspen Benelux spent 15 September at this organisation in commemoration of Mandela Day.
In the spirit of spreading happiness, several gift baskets were carefully packed and delivered to patients’ homes and hundreds of children books were gift wrapped and shared with the children along with a stuffed animal, representing the main character of the book.
The book serves as a wonderful resource for parents who have been diagnosed with cancer and helps them to explain their condition to their children while bonding meaningfully with them.
These baskets and books which were shared freely with some 200 beneficiaries, bringing some relief during the dark season that cancer patients endure with their diagnosis and treatment. Aspen Benelux also presented a donation to the Foundation which will be used for meetings and activities for the patients. Most importantly, the donation will serve as the seed funding for a second edition of the children’s book.
