Support for Carpe Diem’s Youth Centre
In the spirit of making a difference to the lives of those in need, the Aspen Free State Direct Sales team braved a chilly Saturday morning on the 13 July in support of the 2019 Clicks Care Run and Mandela Day.
Hosted at the Emoya Wildlife Estate in Bloemfontein, the Clicks Care Run is a charity trail run and cycle event. Entry is any non-financial donation of household or personal hygiene items that the boys of this year’s beneficiary, Carpe Diem Youth Care Centre, could benefit from. The event was attended by over 500 people with close to 400 participants taking part in the running and cycling.
Dressed in what proved to be the day’s most stand out theme - Cowboys and Cowgirls, the team painted the faces and hair of children and adults participating in the event. True to the cause of non-financial donation, the Aspen sales team donated blankets to the Centre as well as hotdogs and cooldrinks to the Clicks Care Run participants.
“It was a great day for all who attended and we were humbled to make a difference for the boys at Carpe Diem and contribute towards Aspen's Mandela Day campaign,” said Reinier Meyer, Regional Sales Manager, Direct Sales Team, Aspen Pharmacare.
