This year, 11 Aspen Head Office employees participated in a hands-on cooking session at Eden’s Unity Drive location. Led by Eden’s chef, the team learned essential chopping techniques and prepared fresh guacamole. Volunteers sorted avocados—separating ripe, unripe, and spoiled ones—then chopped onions, jalapeños, and cilantro. Ripe avocados were scooped for guacamole, while firmer ones were sliced, processed, and refrigerated. The final mixture was blended and packed into individual containers for unprivileged families.

The activity was not only impactful but also a great opportunity for team building. This was a meaningful experience and an excellent way for our team to bond while giving back.

Volunteers also toured Eden’s facility, gaining insight into its operations and the broader impact of its programs. Eden’s model goes beyond food distribution—it empowers individuals with skills and dignity, helping build stronger, healthier communities.

Aspen Canada is proud to support Eden’s “Good Food For All” mission and looks forward to future collaborations that continue to uplift and connect with the local community.
