Ecovolunteer programme helps keep Gringo beach clean

In June 2024, a group of volunteers from Aspen’s Caricam region in the Dominican Republic, took to the Playa Gringo beach to support ongoing community environmental action.

Located in Bajos de Haina, Playa Gringo is a beautiful pet-friendly beach distinguished by its golden sand and crystal-clear waters. While it is administered by the local Ayuntamiento Haina Municipality, which is in charge of the community activities and preservation, the beach continually needs clearing of plastic and other debris in order to preserve our oceans and the environment.

Aspen’s team supported the municipality’s ecovolunteer programme that fosters a positive impact by spending time clearing a section of beach.
