Aspen Ecuador’s empathy, solidarity, and service touches nearly 300 beneficiaries
For the first time, Aspen Pharma Ecuador partnered with ADRA Ecuador to carry out volunteer and humanitarian assistance initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable communities in Guangaje and Saquisilí, located in the Cotopaxi province.
The initiatives brought together 17 Aspen Pharma Ecuador volunteers, who contributed to the logistical organization of the activity, beneficiary registration, preparation of distribution sites, and the delivery of humanitarian aid. To ensure efficient operations, volunteers were divided into two teams, each supported by ADRA Ecuador staff responsible for coordinating the distributions and documenting the activities.
Eight Aspen volunteers and two ADRA Ecuador staff members facilitated the activity in Guangaje while nine Aspen volunteers together with two ADRA Ecuador representatives took care of the initiative in Saquisilí (Tomailoma and surrounding communities).
Beyond the delivery of aid, the initiative created meaningful opportunities for engagement between volunteers and community members. At the end of the day, both teams came together for a shared lunch, fostering connection, collaboration, and reflection on the impact of their collective efforts.
Volunteers expressed highly positive feedback about the experience, emphasizing the value of witnessing firsthand the challenges faced by vulnerable communities and reflecting on the importance of empathy, solidarity, and service. The initiative also strengthened employees’ sense of purpose and reinforced Aspen’s commitment to making a positive difference in the communities it serves.
Through this joint effort, Aspen Pharma Ecuador and ADRA Ecuador contributed to improving the well-being of dozens of families facing social and economic challenges, while further strengthening their shared commitment to community development, social responsibility, and sustainable impact.
