Aspen NDB partners with Résistes Ressourceries
As part of Mandela Day, Aspen Notre Dame de Bondeville (“Aspen NDB”) in France proudly participated in the Group’s 15th anniversary with a meaningful initiative that had a strong local impact.
This summer, the teams joined forces with the association Résistes Ressourcerie, a recognized player in the circular and social economy in the Rouen metropolitan area.
Based in Darnétal, Résistes Ressourcerie is actively engaged in reuse through the collection, repurposing, and sale of second-hand items. The association also raises awareness among all audiences – from children to adults – on key environmental issues. Its mission is to promote social and professional inclusion while contributing to environmental protection through waste reduction.

During July and August, Aspen NDB invited more than 850 employees to take part in a civic action to gather clothing, books, board games, DVDs, school supplies, and household items. This initiative embodies Aspen’s core values, and all the items were donated to the association which repurposed and redistributed them directly to the community.
This initiative marked the first collaboration between Aspen NDB and Résistes Ressourcerie, paving the way for a long-term commitment and future joint projects.
Martin Pretorius, Managing Director of Aspen NDB said, “To celebrate the 15th anniversary of Mandela Day, we wanted to launch a simple, concrete, and unifying action that allowed each of our employees to contribute to a project with both environmental and social impact. Through this collection, everyone was able to take action in their own way, helping extend the life cycle of objects while supporting social inclusion.”
Leïla PONS, President of Résistes Ressourcerie, also shared her appreciation and said, “This partnership with Aspen NDB was a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness among new audiences about the circular economy and reuse. We are deeply grateful for this collective effort.”
Through this initiative, Aspen NDB gave full meaning to the spirit of Mandela Day: It’s in your hands.
