Mexico

In commemoration of Mandela Day, Aspen Mexico partnered with the John Langdon Down AC Foundation to provide support to children with Down Syndrome, a congenital condition that causes special characteristics in the development of the patient.

Our commitment and passion for Aspen’s Mandela Day campaign is part of our DNA and our employees joined forces this year with the most incredible spirit to raise funds to support the Early Intervention Program of the John Langdon Down AC Foundation. Many initiatives were hosted by all employees at Aspen Mexico including raffles, auctions, food sales, coffee tastings, pet bottles collections for recycling, and many more that allowed us to not only reach our fundraising goal but to exceed it. As a team we were overjoyed to be able to hand over a donation of MXN 308 000 to the Foundation.

This donation will provide for 96 support sessions for 65 babies born with Down Syndrom, as well as strengthening the Foundation’s Care Clinic. The project aims to provide comprehensive preparation—physical, psychomotor, intellectual, emotional, and social—so that children can develop properly and achieve the highest possible degree of autonomy and independence as they grow older.

To contribute to the integration of individuals with Down Syndrome into society, it is essential to educate the general population about their capabilities, skills, and potential. Considering the 2024 Olympic Games, Aspen organised a Mini Olympics with the Foundation’s students and our volunteers. This event provided an opportunity to share experiences and witness the impact of the Early Intervention Program and the John Langdon Down Foundation Clinic on the beneficiaries’ development.

Additionally, an art exhibition featuring works created by the foundation’s students was held and showcased on various continents around the world. This experience left a lasting impression on each participant and will be shared with their loved ones, contributing to the goal of educating society on this important issue.
