The recently established office of Aspen Peru selected the Hogarde Niños “La Aurora” Children’s Home located just south of Lima, as their beneficiary organization.

Hogar La Aurora, which falls under the auspices of the Hermanas de la Caridad and was established by Mother Teresa of Calcutta, is home to 30 children under the age of 12 who are all victims of family violence, physical and emotional abuse.

A fun-packed day was planned for the children with personal hygiene being the first activity on their busy schedule. The kids all underwent physical evaluations and dental consultations by Healthcare Practitioners. Thereafter, the Dr Rabbit video provided some valuable information for them on good dental hygiene.

Once the healthcare aspects were taken care of it was all fun and games with loads of entertainment and contests for the children to participate in. The Aspen team also thoroughly cleaned the facilities before handing over donations and gifts to the grateful kids.
