Improving the gardens for Nalchik’s inpatients
The Nalchik Boarding House for the Elderly and Disabled is an inpatient facility that provides care primarily for the aged.
This facility accommodates as many as 205 citizens, these being men over 60 years of age and women from 55. Provision is also made for disabled patients over the age 18 in need of partial or complete care, or full time supervision. These patients don’t have existing medical conditions which enables them to access this social service.
Aspen Russia’s team of five volunteers in the North Caucasus Region showed how much they care by painting benches, attending to landscaping, planting flower beds and mowing the lawn. They also installed an additional two benches at the facility for inpatient use.
