Six initiatives were rolled out by Aspen Russia’s team in the North West region.

Vologodskaya Oblast Children's hospital In Vologda City was selected as a very worthy beneficiary. It is the only pediatric healthcare facility in the Vologda region that provides treatment for various diseases and has trauma facilities for serious injuries.

The little patients at the hospital each received coloured pencils which were used for a drawing competition. They thoroughly enjoyed the special attention that they received as well as the small gifts.

Elderly ladies at the St Eugene City Hospital No. 46 were also treated to a wonderful meal, some treats and small gifts as well as a master class in needlework – a gesture that brought them so much delight for a skill that is so crucial to them.

There is a big need for caring for abandoned, injured and ill animals in Murmansk. The team helped out at shelters in Syktyvkar, Arkhangelsk, Petrozavodsk cities. Their activities included assisting with the handling of aggressive dogs and stray cats, and providing donations of food and dressings for these furry friends.
