Feeding children for a year

Aspen Holdings in Durban participated in Mandela Day by celebrating Madiba’s legacy and his commitment to justice, equality, and freedom which serves as a beacon of hope, inspiration and unity around the globe.

Aspen partnered with Rise Against Hunger Africa and volunteers joined forces in the fight against poverty and inequality by packing some 21 200 nutritious meals which will ensure that one child receives one meal per week for a year.

Established in 2010, Rise Against Hunger Africa is dependent on corporate and community support to make a real impact on hunger. Through their strategic approach to feeding children at Early Childhood Development Centres, Sustainable Farming Projects and Disaster Relief Activities, they are eradicating hunger one meal at a time.
