Mandela Day serves as a reminder that even small actions can create meaningful change. This year, our team in Gqeberha embraced the opportunity to make a difference by supporting SOS Children’s Village in Schauderville, a community close to Aspen’s flagship manufacturing site.
With a strong commitment to giving back, our Aspen's Mandela Day Task Team volunteered their time to various maintenance activities, including replacing broken windows, painting, repairing a damaged gate, and refurbishing the netball court. In addition, Aspen employees generously donated essential goods to support the home’s daily needs.
Beyond these contributions, the true highlight of the day was connecting with the children. Our employees spent time playing games, sharing stories, and spreading joy—demonstrating the spirit of Mandela Day in action.
We were deeply inspired by the dedication of the SOS Children’s Village staff, whose unwavering commitment ensures that orphaned and abandoned children receive the care, education, and community support they need to thrive.
