South Africa – Gqeberha

Aspen South African Operations in Gqeberha exemplified the spirit of Mandela Day and demonstrated that acts of kindness and support shown to Lukhanyiso Pre-School can significantly impact a community for the better.

Established in 2013, Lukhanyiso Pre-School is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of 61 children from an underprivileged community in Motherwell.

Our team volunteered their time and skills to undertake various maintenance tasks, leaving a lasting impression on the school. These activities included waterproofing two classrooms, installing laminate flooring and mats, securing the outside gate, as well as painting and cleaning projects. We also collected much-needed donations from employees and the company to support the school.

Beyond the physical work, we embraced the true essence of Mandela Day by spending quality time with the children which brought delightful smiles to the faces of the young learners.
