Deaf learners receive the ‘highest kind of love’ from Beta

Beta Healthcare (“Beta”), an Aspen Group Company, supported the Uganda School for the Deaf in Kampala in honour of Mandela Day 2024.

The team from Beta supported the learners with donations of groceries that included rice, beans, lentils, flour and other items which will be used to prepare wholesome meals for the boarders.

Head Teacher Tumuhairwe Juliet Mary was overjoyed by Beta’s generosity and thanked the team for showing the school and the learners the highest kind of love.

The school, which was established in 1987, accommodates more than 240 learners from five to 13 years of age including those who have speech impediments. The mission of this facility is to appreciate the uniqueness of every learner, to encourage them to develop and share skills together and to mould self-reliant learners regardless of their disability.
